This cosy detached 2 bedroom cottage is a rural retreat away from the hustle and bustle of life – set in the grounds of a 15th century medieval farmhouse called Little England. The setting and garden are quite as magical as the name suggests.

Please note there is a minimum 2 night stay for the cottage. The cottage is completely private with its own front door. Decorated in a simple, stylish and contemporary way but retains many of the original features such as beautiful, exposed beams and has all modern appliances you may need. Upon entering, you are led into an open plan kitchen/dining area, with 6 chairs and a table. The kitchen comprises a 2-ring hob, sink, kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge and a Nespresso machine.

A welcome hamper is provided that includes essentials such as oil, salt, bread and milk, and a continental breakfast for your first morning. There is a large separate lounge with a smart TV, Bluetooth speaker, a comfy 3-seater corner sofa (which converts to a large double bed) and a second double sofa. Double doors provide easy access onto the patio and garden.

A staircase takes you up to a large mezzanine bedroom, with curtains to provide an extra bit of privacy, a comfy double bed and sumptuous Egyptian cotton bedding. There is another smart TV and high speed Wi-Fi (up to 60MBps) is included. A large selection of board games is available – just ask at the house. Downstairs there is a separate bedroom with a double bed and luxurious bedding. Next door, the stylish bathroom has a large walk-in shower and Egyptian cotton towels (provided).

The cottage has its own patio area complete with garden table and chairs. Guests are very welcome to use the communal garden areas where there are benches along an outdoor kitchen/picnic area with a wood fired pizza oven. There is a chimenea and a BBQ for your use – we do not provide charcoal or logs, but these can be purchased from the house if required. There is full central heating, of which you have control of the thermostat via Hive heating. During the summer months, fans are available on request.

“A lovely glamping site! I stayed in the cottage which was spacious and very comfortable. The hosts are incredibly friendly and accommodating. There was plenty of starter food available for me when I arrived and there were lots of little touches that made the stay feel special. I would definitely recommend and visit again!”

“Un petit havre de paix, Emma et Chris sont des hôtes charmants plein de petites attentions”

“My partner & I visited Little England when it was under previous ownership and it became a hidden gem to us. We returned yesterday for the first time since it has been under new ownership & we had an absolutely amazing time. Everything was utterly perfect and every little detail had been considered. The Yurt is so cute and cosy and offers a clear view of the sky at night, which is amazing. An incredibly peaceful stay, the owners are incredibly friendly (with an adorable dog!)- could not have asked for more”

“I stayed with some friend in the self contained cottage in this very family friendly place. The cottage is newly re-furbished by new owner Emma. It made a lovely comfortable and relaxing place to stay in the heart of the Somerset Levels. Emma was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!”
