Nestled in the south facing sun trap of Little England, this 2-person Yurt gives you the chance to really get back to nature, while still retaining the luxuries we have all gotten used to. It is set on its own large private decked area with bistro set and chimenea to enjoy those dry evenings outside. The pinnacle of the roof is clear so you can lie in bed and look through the roof at the stars due to the low light pollution in Othery.

We do provide eye masks if desired to ensure you also get a well-deserved lie in! The Yurt is completely private with its own entrance and is decorated in a stylish theme, with a double bed complete with a memory foam mattress. Full mains electricity is on hand, so if you don’t fancy rubbing sticks together to make a flame, you can just flick a switch! Heaters along with a coal effect fire are available for extra warmth if needed. We have managed to get as many home-from-home essentials into the yurt, such as luxurious Egyptian cotton towels and bed linen and even a hair dryer. There is a smart TV and excellent Wi-Fi provision.

In terms of amenities, the yurt is kitted out with a small kitchenette area, including a kettle, single hob, toaster and Nespresso machine. There is a sofa to curl up on and relax during the evening, along with a table and chairs if you prefer to eat in. There is a coat stand and space to leave your shoes, as well as space for a travel cot if required. We also have a selection of board games that you can borrow. The toilets and showers are a shared facility just a short walk away from the property, regularly checked to ensure the highest cleanliness standards and with full domestic infrastructure so no worrying about compostable toilets or cold showers.

The Yurt has its own patio area complete with garden table and chairs, however guests would be more than welcome to use the entire shared garden. There are benches for communal use and later on this year there will also be an outdoor kitchen/picnic area with a wood fired pizza oven. Currently there is a chimenea and a BBQ for your use – we do not provide charcoal or logs, but these can be purchased from the house if required. A continental breakfast is delivered to the Yurt daily, this is included in the rate.

Happy campers...

“A lovely glamping site! I stayed in the cottage which was spacious and very comfortable. The hosts are incredibly friendly and accommodating. There was plenty of starter food available for me when I arrived and there were lots of little touches that made the stay feel special. I would definitely recommend and visit again!”

“Un petit havre de paix, Emma et Chris sont des hôtes charmants plein de petites attentions”

“My partner & I visited Little England when it was under previous ownership and it became a hidden gem to us. We returned yesterday for the first time since it has been under new ownership & we had an absolutely amazing time. Everything was utterly perfect and every little detail had been considered. The Yurt is so cute and cosy and offers a clear view of the sky at night, which is amazing. An incredibly peaceful stay, the owners are incredibly friendly (with an adorable dog!)- could not have asked for more”

“I stayed with some friend in the self contained cottage in this very family friendly place. The cottage is newly re-furbished by new owner Emma. It made a lovely comfortable and relaxing place to stay in the heart of the Somerset Levels. Emma was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!”
