About the Shepherd’s Hut
This cosy Shepherd’s Hut, the Alfred, is tucked away in a quiet corner of the garden. Plenty of privacy, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but with enough home comforts so you can fully relax. Glamping at its best!
If you would like your visit to be more of a healing retreat, then we can provide that too. Your host is a Reflexologist and can offer treatments in our treatment room overlooking the garden. Find out more here: http://www.lightenyoursole.co.uk/

You also have a little private garden in the trees, with your own patio set of table and chairs, a chimenea for the chillier evenings and hammock for those lazy summer days. So many ways to relax.
Should you wish to cook an evening meal yourself, you can go to the conservatory where you will find a microwave, that you are free to use. On the other hand, if you fancy a night under the stars, you can use one of our outdoor wood stoves and enjoy being outside. We can also recommend local pubs and restaurants, including the village pub which is a short walk away.
Over the bed, there is a full HD television with a DVD slot, perfect for relaxing evenings, or if you prefer you can swivel the TV and watch in your comfy director’s chairs. We have a selection of DVDs that you are welcome to use.
You have mains electric for lighting and sockets (including built-in USB charger) and we supply you with a hairdryer. You have a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities as well as a mini fridge to keep those essentials in. Fluffy dressing gowns are provided, so even for the short walk to the toilet and showers, you should stay cosy and warm.
To keep you warm, we have provided an electric stove, that provides you with instant heat, with a flicker of a flame.
Breakfast is provided daily in the conservatory and is self- service. We are happy to cater for special dietary needs, including gluten-free and vegetarian or vegan diets – but please do inform us well before you arrive. You are free to have your breakfast at any time and can eat it in the conservatory, in the garden or back at the Shepherd’s Hut.
